Getting Back to Nature

Now that Vacation Bible School is officially over, I finally spent some time today catching up on all the mail coming in to my Tree Grower’s Diary site. I even went out and gave the new baby gingkoes some much needed water. I’m a neglectful tree-mom.

The End of a Twirl

Firetruck day at Vacation Bible School, and all Gregory wanted to do was twirl. He said it was simply a “twirly day.”

Well I’ll Be a Pot o’ Glue!

I’m having so much fun taking pictures at Vacation Bible School! And for the record, Sunny (a k a Bradley) actually does get the glue reference. Question is: did anybody else? I’m havin’ more fun than a mule in a mud hole! (After a week of fallin’ back into my childhood drawl, I’m wonderin’: will I ever shed my Southern accent again?)

Gettin’ Into It

As Nancy said, “An adult would just think of Sunny as a puppet.” But Bradley has gotten so into being the puppeteer extraordinare, that he has started providing food, and a food receptacle for said fuzzy horse with a mane of straw hair. Bradley’s even taking part in the script-writing now, offering advice about “What Sunny would do” in this situation or that. A week ago I wondered if I’d be able to find a replacement “Sunny” when Bradley bowed out at the last minute. Not a chance of that. He’s a natural at playing a horse. (So far, he hasn’t “gotten” the line I snuck in about Sunny being a pot of glue.)

Day 2 at the Ranch

Bradley, as Sunny the trusted horse friend of Dusty, the friendly ranch hand (that’d be me) is in his element! I’ve never seen Bradley so happy! (Well, other than when someone brings pizza in the house.) Who knows? This could open up a whole new world for my son. He could grow up to be a puppeteer! Bradley’s dad says that’d be a great way to pay for medical school.

Workin’ at the Ranch

Bradley is having a great time playing “Sunny” at Vacation Bible School this week. I never would have picked him for one to love the limelight. (Maybe it’s because he gets to deliver his lines from inside a great big box.)

Introducing: Lia!

I love being a photographer! Not only did I have the distinct priviledge of meeting Lia up close and personal, but I also got a chance to spend some time getting to know Danene and Christian better. And Lia was the most perfect little baby model! (We all thought she was most agreeable when her clothes were off.)

Julie’s New Photo and Quote Blog

This new blog will give me a place to post a few pictures from my latest photo shoot. But I’ll also be publishing my Quotes and Thoughts here. Previously published on Coffeedrome, I’m hoping my 10-year collection will find a new home here.
