Kaptain Karl Endures My Macro Lens

I think my cat is finally used to my camera.

Love the lashes.

He’s got beautiful eyes on a sunny day.

See? (On cloudy days, they turn grey.)

Never thought he’d let me this close to his ear!

Oh man, he’s got major dandruff.
I never noticed that before.
I knew that macro lens would come in handy!

How’d I get him to sit still for me? Ha! I left the blinds closed all morning, so by the time I got home from my photo shoot with Jennifer and Jeff and their adorable baby (pictures coming soon!) the Kaptain was practically mooing at me to let the sunshine in.

That cat wasn’t moving a muscle.

The end of my lens was almost touching his nose.

I LOVE this shot of his whiskers!
But soon after, he jumped down under the dining room table.

Who’s stalking who now?
I got new slide show software, so I thought I’d try it out. Same pictures as above, but with a Brandenburg concerto. (I started to use bird sound effects, but it just seemed mean.)

Awesome shots Julie, I love the first one of the eye. You have some mad skills with the macro lens

That first one is right out of National Geographic! (We know what a predator the Kaptain can be…)
My favorite, though, is the first nose shot.

I love the kitty shots. How on earth did you get your pet to sit still for that long?
