I Miss Summer

I mentioned a few days ago about going through the old 2006 picture folder. Today I came across this one of Bradley at Holmdel Park. This one’s definitely going in the book! Bradley looks so — so — warm. I miss summer (she said, shivering).
This picture sits on my dining room table (that would be the table covered with photo junk that hasn’t seen a DISH since last March). Most of my photo clients have seen this picture. I use it to show the nice quality of the prints I get from my large format inkjet printer. I printed Bradley’s park picture as a 13×19 on satin paper and it’s simply GORGEOUS — except the ink ran out right about at Bradley’s head. So, I let my clients hold the big beautiful print, run their fingers across it, see how an inkjet print that has been sitting on that table full of stuff holds up after time. All of my other client prints come from a really fab lab, but I LOVE when a client springs for one of these inkjet prints — I call them “poster prints.” They look great in a 20×26 frame with a deep mat. And they’re quick and easy. (Quick and easy as long as I remember to change out the ink tanks, that is.)
The book, by the way, is a 650-page book celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Quotes and Thoughts. Can’t wait to give you a preview! Stay tuned.
In the meantime, here’s another shot from Holmdel Park. Does this kid look seriously hot or what?! Taken inside one of those bright colored tube things. Nary a smidge of photoshop work on this one. Gregory’s sweaty hair adds some realism, no? Oh how I long for summer.

I don’t know about summer, but I could use a little warmer weather!
Especially since my driveway is still a sheet of ice!
