It was rainy day when we got together to shoot portraits for her first communion invitations, but I LOVE how the studio pictures came out!
Her dimples are so CUTE!
She looks like a princess in this one.
I like to get creative, even with my portrait sessions.
We were blessed to be able to go on location for a little while, too!
Isn’t she adorable? What a pretty smile.
This one is my absolute favorite. It was SO dark in there but I wanted to use available light so I could be sure to get the stained glass window in the background. I was so happy when I looked at the pictures and this one worked!
Thank you! I’m really looking forward to the session we’re going to do with the rest of the family! (I LOVE how the invitations came out!)

Beautiful little girl! You did a wonderful job capturing such an important time in her life. The stained glass turned out awesome. Her holding the Rosary is my favorite.
How cute is she?!?! I love the second and third ones, and the creative one. I wish I’d gotten pictures done when I had my first communion, its probably as close as I’ll ever come to a wedding dress. lol
beautiful photos Julie! I especially love the one of her holding the Rosery (perfect depth of field!) and the last one with the stained glass window is gorgeous!
And I like your “creative” one as well. I wish I remembered to look for (or create) those shots more often during my sessions. I get so caught up in the session, I forget to slow down for my artistic side as times as well.
Great work, I’m sure her mom is going to love these!
Nice job, Julie! The shot of her looking out next to the stained glass is my favorite – I love that it seems I can see so much emotion while only seeing a bit of her face – sweet! The other b/w one of her coming in the door comes in a close second – I love that spontaneous look! Nice job with the stained glass in that last one – I really like the look of the light on her face!
Hi Julie,
Just wanted to drop by and say hello. You did a fantasic job on these images. I can’t pic a fav, because I love all of them. Hope all is well.
She is gorgeous! What a great job — you are just always so creative. I learn so much from your pics!
I have always loved that window. They are really lovely photos, Julie. She will cherish them.
