Thinking of Living in Metuchen?

I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful arts and crafts home recently. It’s for sale by owner, so if you’re looking for a new home, read on!

It’s a gorgeous home, inside and out, with a large yard and interesting landscaping, including crepe myrtle, magnolia and dogwood trees. (You knew I’d mention the trees!)

What a charming house with many beautiful details! This unique pane of stained glass sits just above the front door, one of many touches of stained glass throughout the home.

I love the light in the dining room! Between the stained glass and the glass door knobs, beautiful wood floors and moldings, everyting ties together to create a stunning home fit for a magazine layout.

The kitchen is bright and modern.

The space flows so nicely, with a large foyer that connects the living room and dining room, which is just off a gorgeous 300-square-foot all-season porch. The current owners use the porch space as a large home office and sitting area.

Upstairs is a another versatile open space with a door leading to the balcony. The wood floors throughout the home are beautiful!

The home is filled with beautiful details, such as the intricate wood work on the front door. Very impressive. There’s also a 2-car garage and full basement.

The owners are good friends of mine, so if you know of someone looking to move to the Central Jersey area, please pass along the Web site for us! Besides being one of the most charming and spacious homes I’ve ever seen, it’s perfectly located within walking distance of the train to New York City. That’s a hint for all my Manhattan friends thinking of moving to up to the ‘burbs!
Ohhhhhh….I love arts and crafts style homes – your pics make me want to buy it and I don’t even live there!
Okay, your photos just made me want to buy the house! Now if only I had the money!
I love the light in your photos!
Julie how do you do it? You are such a gifted photographer. This wasn’t just a slide show advertising the great features of a house. No way. You captured a HOME full of potential dreams and memories for a new family. I found myself picturing early morning making breakfast in the gorgeous kitchen. And here I am bringing in the Thankssgiving turkey in my elegant new dining room surrounded by family and friends. There I am lounging in the backyard taking in the beauty of all the gorgeous greenery while my son and nephews run around laughing and playing. Too bad I live in a another country cause I am sold. I really like the sofa and chairs, just the right color, size, and look. I badly need a new couch to replace my inherited one from the early 70’s. I just don’t know where to go, and it seems so much trouble. I get the impression that the furniture companies don’t take the old one away for you. I envision all sorts of problems trying to do it myself. So, I remain sitting on a broken spring
Jeff- Linden, NJ (P.S. planted an Oct. Glory and Euro hornbeam last week. Also added new brown mulch to to the foundation beds replace the old black. The mulch made a big difference for my brown house!
Ok, your slide show and beautiful photos make ME want to buy this house! Oh wait…I already live in Metuchen. Nuts!
I could die over this house!~! I am so in love with Arts and Crafts. The wood is so yummy I could just eat it!!!! These are great images btw!
