This is Laci, her grandmother, Barbara, and her mom, Dawn.
Laci’s hair was blowing all over the place while we were down at the beach. I love this shot!
And this one too!
It was challenging to keep up with Laci!
When we were working in the backyard to get the “Four Generations” shot, Barbara’s neighbor offered to come take “our” picture. That was so sweet! From the moment I walked in the door, it seemed like we were old friends and I just fell in love with Laci. What a sweet-natured little girl!
Helen seemed so comfortable in the sun. Ahhh, I love the beach.
And this is Barbara’s cat, Terabithia. I love her eyes!

Julie– I know you can’t actually name your subjects, but “Laci” is just as precious as her name suggests. What a beautiful shoot! The colors, the perfect focus (down to every last strand!) you captured their beauty. They must love you!! And the pictures from Memorial Day are just fantastic… like you somehow stepped back into the 1950’s and captures this perfect day in America… Awesome.
Hey girl! I love the shot with the 4 generations. I know the family will cherish that for many years to come. Thanks too for your kind words you left on my blog about Aunt Ruby.
Daniel,
What a wonderful comment! Thank you so much! I have more pictures of TB for you to see. (Still working on the private gallery with a few slides that wouldn’t fit with the music.)
Cheers!
Hi Julie…this is Laci’s uncle Danny (I met you briefly before the shoot). I just saw the amazing pictures you took of my family last week. It is great for me to see four generations of our matriarchs, and you captured Laci’s rambunctious spirit perfectly (which I’m sure wasn’t easy!).
(I especially loved the one of my cat! Thanks for turning the camera on her…when I went to the SPCA to adopt a pet 5 years ago, her bright blue eyes were the first thing I noticed.)
Your website is beautifully done, and it’s an honor to have my niece, sister, mother, grandmother, AND cat featured on your blog. It’s about time someone seamlessly combined family photography with real art. Incredible work.

Laci’s slideshow is great. You always seem to find the perfect music.
