Ghost in my Dogwood Tree

“NO! NO! MOM! You CAN’T post that picture! It’s so…CREEPY!”

Bradley is overly dramatic when it comes to Kaptain Karl, his lazy cat. I was outside the other day taking pictures of my dogwood tree when I snapped the one above. Proof of a ghost? Nah…

Karl is easier to see as a thumbnail. I took the picture before the camera had focused on anything.

The Kaptain is watching squirrels and birds (and me)…

…from his dining room perch by the dogwood tree…

…perfectly patient to just sit and watch and wait. The leaves should be starting to turn red any day now.
Karl is better at waiting than I am.

EDIT: I just showed this post to Gregory. He doesn’t believe that’s Kaptain Karl in the top picture. “That CAN’T be Kaptain Karl,” he said. “Kaptain Karl’s not dead!”

  1. Julie, What a terrific shot! You didn’t know that you adopted a possessed cat. Hey, we should have charged you a double adoption fee since you got two cats!!! The Ghost and Kaptain Karl!

  4. I had a cat that looked very similar to Karl… you remember Sam? Well, Sam actually had a “smile” when he looked at you. Karl always has this “I am going to eat you now” look! I will try to find a pic of Sam to send and you can put them side by side for our blog friends to see. Sam is not with us anymore in body, but he will always be in my heart.
