Your blog and photos always make me smile. Love your Halloween pix! Can't wait to see more! Thanks for the tips! I will use them tonight! I thought of you this morning when I went out and took photos of the perfect Halloween fog...spooky ooky! I'm sure the sun will blaze through in a few minutes so I can get photos of the kids...no school today! (My morning fog photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mslil65/ )

Hi!

I love your halloween pictures - i have a tree that will be perfect for dancing ghosts and i would love to know how you made yours? also, did you hang them with fishing line? my three children will be thrilled to have our yard inhabited by spooky ghosts!

Hi Sarah -- Julie here -- For the ghosts that hang from the branches, those are just white kitchen trash bags. I balled up a bag and stuff it in one end for the head, then tied with a trash bag tie and drew a goofy face on it. Then I put a safety pin in the top to tie fishing line through, which was then tied onto the branch. For the dancing ghosts UNDER the tree, I bought a couple of cheap white sheets, six styrofoam balls and six long wide dowels. Poked the dowels half way through the styrofoam ball, then put a trash bag over the ball and dowel to give it more depth. I cut the sheet into large squares, wrapped that over the styrofoam ball, and drew smiley ghost faces with eyes that would be looking at each other when you turn them to face each other. Tie the ends of the sheet together so it looks like the ghosts are holding hands. You have to stick the dowel way into the ground to withstand wind or else the whole thing will blow down! Have fun! -- jws
