The picture above took my breath away when I first downloaded all the pictures! The colors in the sky are beautiful and contrast so nicely with the clothing and natural colors of the harbor, but I especially love how graphic it is. Notice how things on the edges of the picture are pointing at our mom and baby in the center? The clouds, the stroller, the rocks, the distant shore — I love that!

I hope the family enjoyed the slide show. It’s one of my favorites for sure!
Halloween in my neighborhood is so much fun! Oh, and it's also Brad's birthday. I love Halloween....
Those are truly beautiful moments captured! I’m sure they are enjoying these and I’m looking forward to seeing more. Babies just grow up so fast that you can’t take enough pictures of them.
What a great session Julie. Love the color and emotion in these. Beautiful!!! I wish like crazy I had something like this of me and my boys.
What a cutie! How lucky they are to have you capturing a year in the life for them!
Wow, Jules, what an awesome shoot! I really really love the 2nd picture of the baby on the changing table in B&W…..breathtaking! Can’t wait to see your next day in the life session!
Julie, as a loyal blog fan, your slide shows always make me appreciate the little moments in life and I get home from work and hug my kids even tighter. Can you please send me the link to this one? Please please? Thank you for being a bright spot on the world wide web.
I don’t know what made me cry more, the beautiful photos or Kirsten’s comment. Nicki…. you look great!

What an amazing job of capturing the true beauty of a Mother with Child. Too often moms are behind the camera, and they lose those “magical” moments spent with their child. What a gift!
I love the photo by the window…and the after bath time is soooo precious! You really have a way of capturing life!
Dear Kirsten,
You, grandson Alex and the family are very special and it shows in the photos. Always know you all have a special place in my heart and in South Carolina. Please keep the precious memories coming my way.
Love, Grandpa David
They are beautiful! You really captured some special moments. I wish I did this when my daughter was little.
Julie, We had so much fun that day and you really did capture the giddiness and the sublime happiness that are my “everyday” with Alexander. And I know what else you were doing, or maybe we both were…this is the sunny day, the rainbow after the storm. This is me righting the boat and embracing my role as Alex’s parent. I’m glad you are here to see us both grow this year.
I just saw that blurry one in larger form on your web site gallery and Julie, it’s so unique! It’s like that feeling you get in the morning when your eyes don’t quite work right. What a fantastic, original photograph. It made me stop and think and reflect. I’m amazed by your talent.
Im in tears, Julie. Thank you so much for doing such a fantastic job. You caputured so much of Alex’s and Kirsten (and Cadence’s!) personality. I keep watching it over and over!!
Julie
