I think this shot is so cool. As I’ve mentioned here once or twice (or maybe 10 times!) before, I always want to make sure the youngest child has as many pictures as everybody else in the family! Blurry in the background: big brother, mom, dad, and the family dog.

Everybody! If you know Laura and Mike, and would like to see their slide show, shoot Laura an email and I’m sure she’ll share. It’s such a great one!

Laura is a Creative Memories consultant. (Click here for her Web site.) She has many volumes of scrapbooks of her boys. Mike gave her the family session as a gift for her birthday. What a sweet gift that was! Now there will be some snapshots of HER in those scrapbooks too!

Before I was allowed to enter his room, I had to make an oath that I was not, nor ever had been a Yankees fan. He enjoyed showing me his many hobbies. Baseball cards…

Laura and Mike renovated the kitchen this year, so it’s cool to get some shots of them in their new kitchen! If you watch the slide show, there’s a shot of Laura and Mike in the kitchen that was taken by my little photo assistant there. You did a great job, buddy!

    CHRIS!!!!!

You WIN! “FAMILY” is the correct answer! Wow, new blog reader too. How did you figure that out so quickly? You’re AWESOME! Sending you email to find out your address so I can send along your iTunes gift card! WOO HOO!

Laura and Mike, you can thank my friend, Chris, for your 10 free scrapbook prints!

To all my blog readers, this is so cool because Chris and I met in middle school, dreaded middle school, and went through high school together, and reconnected through Facebook only a few weeks ago!

    Thanks for commenting, Chris!

And to everybody else, especially Laura and Mike, thank you so much for your comments! I LOVE what I do!

  5. Tom says:

You believe in lots of hugs. So do I with my family.

  6. Teri says:

WOW!!! My little friend Ethan is a potential screen idol! You are a beautiful family and your love (and laughter) comes through perfectly in these pictures. Julie – you are amazing!

  7. Laura says:

Wow! Words cannot describe how amazing you are Julie. We look at our family every day, but boy how we can really “see” them in these pictures. You really captured who the boys are right now and we will treasure these pictures for years to come. This was the best birthday gift ever!!

  8. Dawn says:

No fair, I have 20 scrapbooks and we already had our family session.
Great pictures and I am going to check out her website. Thanks.

Applies to you, too, Dawn. Just remind me when your gallery goes up to tag it as “scrapbooker.” I saw some of Jackie’s scrapbooking work in her room. You guys are amazing! — jws

  9. michelle says:

I was going to say “love” too. Bill beat me to it. So I’ll say “relationships” since that word won once before. (Long time blog reader here!)

  10. Bill Kistler says:

    “love”

Great pics (as usual) of a beautiful family!

  11. Karen says:

    Togetherness

  12. Mary says:

OK, I was going to say family too, but Chris beat me to it. But I noticed that there were a lot of hugs in these pictures, so I’m going to go ahead and say “hugs”.

I can’t wait to see how these pictures look in one of Laura’s scrapbooks!

  13. Chris McLaurin says:

    Family

  14. You also fully believe that once you see what can be accomplished by a professional documentary artist, you will never go back to “smile for the camera” portraits.

PS: Great pics Laura and Mike!!

Well, that’s true too, but not what I was going for. Here’s another hint. It’s a one word answer, longer than 3 letters. — jws

  15. God.

Hey Justin! Thanks for guessing! Well, yeah, God, duh, but … in particular, as relates to this session, what do I believe in? –jws
