Michele’s Gift: The Sequel

This might be my favorite image from Dan and Michele’s anniversary session. My love for music started in middle school band with my dad watching carefully, so I guess this picture has a special place in my heart because of that.

When I arrived at Michele and Dan’s house, I adored all the pictures they had framed from the first shoot I did with Dan and the kids as a very special “gift card” for Michele. I love the one above because it’s right on the kitchen counter, at the center of all family activities.

The full family session was Dan’s gift to Michele for their 15th wedding anniversary. I love this shot!

I got several keepers of the full family, but this is one of my favorite signature “unportraits.”

I rather like this one too!

This one was Michele’s idea. Love it!

I can’t remember if I suggested to the kids, “look bored.” It’s possible I did, and if so, good job, kids!

FAVE ALERT! This might not be mom’s favorite, but to me, this is a classic photograph!

Upside down shots always make me smile.

That’s so sweet.

A quick portrait before the rain started.

And another. I find it amazing how much older he looks since the shoot we did in May. It’s like he went from little boy to preteen in 6 months.

But he’s not too old or too cool to attend a family tea party hosted by his little sister. I love that!

FAVE ALERT! Is that the coolest family “unportrait” or what?

She was an excellent hostess.

I love it when the children share their hobbies with me. These things change so quickly and I think it’s fun to capture the everyday stuff that defines who we are at a given moment.

She and I were having a little fun testing my lights before the full family came down for a more formal portrait. I warned Michele that I don’t really “do” formal portraits, so I was just having some fun with my sweet little test model.

Does she have the best eyes or what?

FAVE ALERT NUMBER THREE (or is it four?)! Michele, your home is beautiful, and your children are delightful photo subjects!

See what I mean?

Dan, you really are king of the 15th anniversary husbands! What an awesome gift for Michele, and for the whole family! Congratulations! I hope you like your new slide show as much as you liked the first one, Michele! (For the link to the slide show, shoot Michele an email and I’m sure she’ll share!)

Julie, I adore the teacup shot. I know there are no faces, but I love the contrast in the size of the hands.
Looks like another great set of pictures to me! She is truly a great photographer. Everyone looks like they are having fun and that is what makes them even a better memory.
I just watched the slide show. Oh my goodness. Julie you are an amazing photographer. You did a beautiful job and I love that song. Meech and Danny, I think this truly captured a day in the life of the Dellaventura Family. I love all the pictures and sat here crying through most of it. Just Amazing!!!!
Michele & Danny –
Your family is stunning. What an American dream.
You guys make me believe in true love!
Love,
Christine
Great pictures Julie! Michele and Dan – good luck choosing!
Dad and I just love the pictures. I had to sit and go through them several times , making sure I caught every detail. What great shots Julie took, but then again, what great subjects. I can see the changes in Annalise and Daniel from the last set of pictures. They are growing too fast. I couldn’t believe that was our “little” Daniel playing the sax in the beginning. And Anna is a natural with all her poses. I especially loved the ones of Michele and Danny together. With your busy schedules, it is nice to see the two of you captured together so lovingly. Great job — we are so proud!
Love ya,
Nonna and Popa
Oh Michele,

Julie, these are great. The third picture should be titled, “still in Love” you can see it in her smile. And I simply LOVE the next photo of the little girl. You have been blessed with quite a talent.
