This family has spent time at the beach house in Guilford every summer. The card was designed as a mini-album of those special memories.
Â

This is a wide format card. The inside spread measures 14 wide by 5 tall, folded in the middle. I love that format! Message: “Happy holidays,” with the signature following underneath.
Â

The back of the card featured only the children in a fun jump shot. (We love jump shots!)
What I love about this design — I had a great time shooting this family in Guilford for a weekend. The pictures came out so great that all I saw for their card design was simple pictures and nothing fancy — just a wonderful keepsake to remember those fun family times at the beach. And yet, it’s more than just pictures. Notice the subtle message on the cover: next to “love” are pictures of family groupings. Next to “joy” are pictures of the joyful faces of the children. Next to “peace” are pictures with a touch of attitude in the expression, signifying the advancing maturity of the children. I SO look forward to shooting this family every year and watching these wonderful children grow up!

Cheers! And thanks for visiting the blog!
Katie, my assistant, is not eligible for the contest, but leave a comment if you love her card anyway!...
I love the summer memories in a holiday card(especially on the brink of winter!) The ‘action’ shot on the back is a great way to capture the energy of the children – and a true candid shot. You can’t fake those expressions!
“Peace” next to the picture with the peace sign — ha ha! Awesome.
What’s that script-y font called? Looks like the same one in your banner.
I love the pairing of the words on the front with the pictures. The full picture on the inside is beautiful. Another great card!
I love summer photos..This made a great card.
the deep green is enough to carry the holiday idea beyond the summer-ness of the photos. deftly done.
I needed to remember summer, I am getting tired of the cold and the darkness. The card is beautiful.
