- DESIGN 14: BACK
- Specs: Vertical 5×7 card on archival linen with the inside design spanning the inside spread, folded in the middle.
What I love about this design — The right side of the inside spread measures 5×7, which means that family members that receive this card can easily frame that adorable photograph of the baby in a standard 5×7 frame.
These cards are also great for keeping on display a while, as many of my clients do, because they stand up by themselves easily. I have all my own family’s cards from the last several years standing up on my dresser still. I love that!
Another thing I love about the baby’s card is the beautiful and soothing green background that is brought out so naturally on the inside of the card. By the way, those are leaves in the background on the inside. I love blurry backgrounds. It makes our beautiful baby subject practically jump out of the card in a third dimension with that gorgeous smile!
I also love the back for it’s subtle simplicity in presenting the whole family. I think all holiday cards should have a picture of the whole family. Trust me when I say the kids will look back on these card collections with so much more interest if mom and dad are on there too.
