Five Reasons to Follow Me

    1. IMPROMPTU PHOTO OPS — Did you know that I sometimes send impromptu photo ops via my email newsletter? (Click here to get my email updates.) Check out a few impromptu shoots at the Metuchen Pool from last summer: Click here for Eileen, or here for Rebekah or here for Katie. I also post super-short-notice photo ops for my Twitter followers. Bookmark my Twitter page to see what I’m up to. Odds are, some day when I’m twittering at the pool, you’ll be heading that direction anyway and we’ll meet up!

    2. IT’S RARE — I send out only a few emails a year, so you know when you get an email update from me, it’s going to be some really awesome news! I recently sent an update to my email subscribers about my awesome new packages that INCLUDE the high resolution images, as well as a beautiful wall canvas. Response to that was amazing! I also introduce strategy-rich blog contests now and then that result in free sessions for the winners. Dawn and Jimmy won the last contest — congratulations to the FAB FAMILY! — I’m still tallying the random-comment winner. But look for that announcement coming soon!

    3. MAMARAZZI TIPS — Occasionally, I’ll write to give my Mamarazzi friends a quick photo tip or two. For example, now that summer is just around the corner, here’s a good one: When taking pictures of your children, the best pictures happen in GOOD LIGHT. So before clicking the shutter, ask yourself, “how is the light?” In general, try to take pictures when the light is falling evenly on your child’s face, like when she’s in the full shade next to a building or under a shade tree, or when the sun is low in the sky. Check out John’s headshot post for some really awesome light!

    4. COOL IDEAS — Every time I send out an email update, my blog gets lots more traffic, which tells me that my email updates remind subscribers to check out the latest blog entry. The feedback I get from blog readers is that they get so many ideas about clothing and locations from reading that they LOVE my blog! Yay! So signing up for my free newsletter helps remind you to poke around the blog. For a shoot in which I thought the clothes were an awesome choice, click here. And by the way, it was DAN who picked the clothes for this special anniversary gift-shoot for Michele! Dan, you ROCK!

    5. IT’S FREE – My email newsletter packed with special subscriber-only offers is usually the only way to be in-the-know about when I’ve opened up dates, or when I’m introducing new packages, new products and those awesome blog contests. Why NOT sign up? Oh, and one more thing: I never give away or sell email addresses, and you can always unsubscribe at any time. It’s free, easy and real, because, hey, it’s just me.
