Short-Lived Love Affair

Yao Ming and Shaq, the sweet little sunflowers Greg gave me for Mother’s Day, are GONE, not a trace of sprout left. The thief even obliterated my “Happy Mother’s Day” sign. There’s no doubt in my mind that Twirly is to blame.

I don’t get it. There’s plenty of food for Twirly in the “squirrel-proof” bird feeder. Gregory and I will need to go out and find new sunflowers now. We’re sad.

Those sneaky creatures! Maybe LeBron and Kobe would have made it. ;)

    • Zak, that is so funny because yesterday thought the same thing, that it was the NAMES that doomed them, and not that the FACT that they were named, but that they had the wrong names and I actually said to myself, “I should have named them LeBron and Kobe.” TOO funny that you posted that comment. I totally LOL’d!!!

You named your plants. Kiss of death you know.
