The Tulip Poplars are Blooming

I was in the woods yesterday with Brad and the gang when I came upon a crazy tulip poplar tree. The blooms are so pretty. This particular one is unusual and crazy because it’s growing wild in the woods. It’s not tall, it’s WIDE and low to the ground because it’s being held down by other small trees.

Normally, these are REALLY tall trees though, so if you’re looking for the blooms, look up!

Hint: there is a tulip poplar tree on the north side of Campbell School. It’s the huge tree you have to walk around on that sidewalk where the kids always walk up on the wall.

I’ll try to get a picture of the tulip poplar by Campbell School for you next week. In the meantime, don’t forget about the Metuchen Memorial Day parade tomorrow at 10. See you there!

That second one just blows me away. I love these pictures. I know some people think plants are “easy subjects” when it comes to photography, but I disagree. I think that they are difficult to make “interesting” pictures of. You don’t have to worry, you nailed it!
