An Extreme Gift on Firetruck Friday

- Be sure to come to church Sunday morning! Sparx the Fox will make a repeat performance during Children’s Time and we will sing a few of our favorite vbs songs. Since I didn’t learn the song words or hand motions, I need you all there to help!
- Keep your eye on the blog for information about how to order prints. I’m going to take my time organizing that, since I need to get back to my day job now (and my night job too). All proceeds from print sales will be donated to the Mission Fund of my church, specifically to benefit Habitat for Humanity. We’ll send out an email about it, but I’ll also post something about it here.
- I hope to see you all soon! Space fills up fast for vbs, so be sure to register early next year! See you at church!

- And now, a few words for my friends on the assembly team…
- Special thanks to Gabe. He is a natural at photography and did an excellent job as my assistant photographer. Brad also did a fine job as my assistant on Tuesday, taking many wonderful detail shots I hadn’t even thought of. You guys are great!I Thanks Gabe and Brad!
- Brad played the part of Sparx, doing an excellent job, as he always does in our puppet ministry! I am so proud of him!
- Huge special thanks to Lindsey and Melissa, who played the parts of Jeannie and Grace, our extreme sports guide and her assistant. They did an excellent job guiding our campers through the forest and helping them understand the deeper meaning behind Camp Edge.
- Also, a huge thanks to Brenda for heading up the music. I always love the pictures of kids singing, but the best part is that they can learn all those fun songs in a week, and then perform some really difficult stuff for the parents during the closing program. Amazing! And of course, a very special thanks to Nancy for organizing our fabulous vbs. Without her, there would be no pictures to share! Love you, Nancy! She does a fabulous job coordinating all the teachers, leaders and our many youth volunteers. Everyone does a great job to make our vbs run so smoothly, and be so fun for all the kids.
- No firetruck party would be complete without a firetruck! Major thanks to the Metuchen Fire Department for coming out and ROCKING our big party! You guys are AWESOME!
For those of you who saw the slide show, we are so grateful for the beautiful pictures of Emily at the end. Friday was her last day of treatment, and she has been pronounced CANCER FREE! Yaaaaaay! It truly was a day of celebration for our VBS family!

The pics are awesome. Haley and Katie had a blast. You and all the volunteers did an amazing job. It was great to see so many smiling faces. I will never forget all the giggles and happy screams from all the kids running though the firehose spray. You truly captured what a great time all the kids had. The girls have been singing the songs all week in the car. Congrats on a very successful week.
My girls are looking forward to next year although sadly they wish they could go back tommorrow. Thanks again

Oh my, Julie! The pictures taken this whole week are absolutely beautiful. Michael and I love singing the songs and reviewing his great fun filled camp days while watching the slide shows! He keeps asking me to “sign him up for more days.” sigh…I am particularly fond of your last few pictures on Friday. I was so happy Em got to make it I thought my heart would burst! Thanks again and my sis and I would love to purchase some prints.

Julie, amazing pictures of a great week! As “Poppy” to Emily, Lily, Michael and Christopher, I can’t thank you enough for the pix of the kids! The shots of Ms. Emily at the end of the week tore me up, as usual! The kids had a blast! What summer is all about!
