It's just that we love that park. It holds special memories and I've always wanted to go there in winter and see what it was like. People in Metuchen generally go to Tommy's Pond for sledding, but the hill is not very steep, and then there's the issue of the POND at the bottom of the hill. ;) You’re right, Matt, it is quite far. I got a nasty rope burn around my neck at Holmdel Park as a kid. While going downhill, somehow my head went inside the rope of a kid's sled walking UPHILL. I pull his sled down the hill by my neck.
