I had a photo shoot on Friday that started near Strawberry Fields.
More pictures below.

I was scheduled to meet my client at the 72nd Street entrance to the west side of Central Park, where the tulips were gorgeous. I think that was the most fun I’ve ever had waiting for a photo shoot to start. The people-watching was almost as much fun as the tulip-watching.

The tulips looked like raspberry sorbet, or, I guess, strawberry. Yummy.

I was there early in the morning with the beautiful light.

Sometimes it’s nice to arrive 20 minutes early to a photo shoot. Gives me a chance to reconnect with my camera, and my roots as a nature photographer.

Not all the tulips looked like strawberries though.

I could have spent all day walking around looking at flowers.

I am no tulip expert, but if I were naming this one, I’d name it vanilla raspberry sorbet.

Benches in this area are dedicated to someone special. I find the plaques interesting to read…

…though sometimes the plaques are curiously absent.
I love when the snowdrops blossom because it means spring is really coming....
Yao Ming, the tall sunflower, and Shaq, the shorter, were my Mother's Day gifts....
Joyce and Trent brought South Carolina weather with them to New York for a week....
