Leo is our VBS Galactic Blast mascot. Soon he will be taking off into outer space, so, as the first green gorilla to be hitting the launch pad, we thought the newspapers would like to have some PR headshots!
Take a look at his very first photo shoot!

Leo is his nickname, by the way. His real name is Galileo.

In this shot, Leo is working on memorizing the stars.

He has a nice desk.

Nice lamp too!

Leo is just a little bit shy.

By the way, he’s also ticklish! (Shhhh, don’t tell him I told you that.)

Isn’t he cute?

Profile shot.

This is what Leo looks like during the day when he’s working in the space-flight simulator. It’s dark!

He’s a very creative problem-solver.

He loves movies! His favorite movie is Planet of the Apes.

He also likes George of the Jungle.

He says that the sun can get very bright out in space.

But we just think he likes to be cool in those sunglasses.

This was the shot that was used in all the newspapers!

Don’t let Leo’s “mad-eye-look” scare you. He’s a big sweetie!

And he works very hard all day long getting ready for the big launch!

But just so you know, he’s a little bit scared and will need your prayers.

I snapped this shot as Leo was commuting home on the New Jersey transit train’s Northeast Corridor. Soon, he will be taking the Space Ship Corridor!
The Friday Camp Edge slide show has a very special ending. Be sure to watch!...
