Wow, I love Alison’s hair in this picture — and what a great dip! If you know Alison and Rob, and would like to see their slide show, leave a comment or send me email and I’ll hook you up with the link. It’s so cute!

Don’t they look like a jcrew ad or what?

Alison and Rob live in the Washington area, and asked me to do some custom “postcard shots.”

Here’s a postcard of the happy couple!

I have my reasons for throwing things off center sometimes. More to come in a separate blog post next week about that. Meanwhile, can you guess why I do that sometimes?

I had such a great time hanging out with these two! I can’t wait for the wedding! It’s going to be so much fun!

Love this one! You may recognize this couple from last year’s Metuchen Memorial Day pictures. Rob was one of the Grand Marshals in the parade, with Alison by his side.

They wanted to include their pets in their engagement session. That’s Toby.

This one totally cracks me up. See, we were hanging out with Toby in the parking lot when all of a sudden this woman, a stranger to all of us, slams the brakes on her car, jumps out, runs over to Toby and throws herself completely around the dog in a long, tight embrace. I love Alison’s reaction! I’m surprised Toby didn’t bite her! He’s such a good doggie!

So, here’s today’s contest question. Win Alison and Rob a free 8×10 by posting a comment with the correct answer.

Hint. Q: How many pets do Alison and Rob have?

Sort of another hint. Hints all over the slide show though because Alison has plans to print close ups of her babies’ faces as 5×5’s and frame them in large white mats for the living room. I love that idea! I love how Alison and Rob planned their engagement session to incorporate some of the places and the little family they love so much.
Thanks again, Alison and Rob! Can’t wait for July!

Click the picture, or click here, for Alisa and Jason’s slide show. When the show ends, it will jump back here where you can answer a question and win Alisa and Jason an 8×10 print!
We were all over the Upper West Side of New York City, but spent a lot of time in Central Park. This is over-looking Turtle Pond at Belvedere Castle.
They are such a fun couple!
This one is my favorite.
Or maybe this one is my favorite.
This one looks like the cover shot for a romantic movie poster. (This is where my posing inspiration for engagement sessions comes from — I study movie posters.)
Sometimes when I ask people to lay down on the ground and make silly faces, I get the strangest looks back, as if to say, “YOU lay down on the ground and make silly faces!” But Alisa and Jason had no fear!
Love the simple drama of this one.
Alisa and Jason live in West Virginia. They met in West Virginia, but when they first started dating, they both lived in the New York City area. This is the club where they had their first date, Dive 75.
Jason’s only request of the day was for me to take a picture of them eating a hot dog from a street vendor. Only problem was that by the time we found one, they must have been starving (you know, from the rigorous photo-shoot workout I give people) because they chomped that hot dog so fast I barely had time to make sure I had the exposure set right on my camera. Yikes! Good thing I’m pretty fast with all the buttons on my new camera now.
This is Alisa’s requested shot. She loves it when Jason picks her up and swings her around. I love the flying pearls!
This is my requested shot. What is it about feet that say so much about people?
We had lunch in the cutest little restaurant with GREAT window light!
And even though my working space was, a-hem, cozy (thank God for my wide angle lens), Alisa and Jason had a private table in the corner! How cool is that?
Alisa forgot to paint her nails, so she did it while waiting for the quiche. Jason helped out. He’s so sweet.
I figured the folks back home in West Virginia would get a kick out of a few subway shots. There’s more in the slide show. Note that we were riding the subway at rush hour. It was packed!
I love this ring shot! Such a beautiful ring too!
Here’s today’s contest question: Be the first person to post a comment with the correct answer, and Alisa and Jason will win a free 8×10 and you’ll win lots of gushing blog praise!
Name the restaurant where we had lunch, and name the movie that made it famous.
Have fun! Thanks, Alisa and Jason, for a great day!

for Anissa and Kenny’s engagement pictures.
The picture above is a clue to today’s contest question. Get it right and you will win Anissa and Kenny a free 8×10 print! When the slide show is finished, it will jump back here where you can keep reading to find the question buried in the post. Have fun!

I don’t know what Anissa was doing but it’s so cute!

They seem so perfect for each other and so happy to be together!

Sweet nothings, or maybe something, I don’t know.
They were whispering.

Their first-date-restaurant, in their favorite town.

Love the colors!

Kenny wanted a picture with just Anissa in it. Beautiful!

So we did one with just Kenny for Anissa. How adorable is HE?
This was just after coaxing him to give us a “GQ look,” which made Anissa laugh, which brought out Kenny’s “I know where you live” look. LOVE it!

LOVE the ring shots!

Love this one too.

What’s the name of that park?

Not that many parks have carousels. Standing on a moving carousel backwards while balancing a camera bag full of lenses and a big camera all the while trying to adjust the manual settings so as to keep the subject in focus but let the background look like it’s zooming by is not the easiest thing to do. If you’re a photographer thinking of trying this, my advice is DON’T LOOK DOWN.

This one’s not in the slide show. Anissa, check your e-mail in a little while for a notification about your full gallery, from which you can pick your free 8×10, assuming somebody gets the answer right.
Hint. Hint.
I had so much fun that day! Thank you both so much!
