i had a number of seedlings appear about 5 years ago that look like bradford pears. they are now established trees about 6ft tall but have yet to bloom. they also appear to have thorns. the leaves and bark look like the bradford pears in our neighbors yard. any idea of what else they might be and if they will bloom?

Sid sounds like such a sweet and loved man. This is a beautiful tribute and I am so glad to have found it. I do not know Sid nor any of your family, you all seem like lovely people.

I am purchasing a pretty Victorian house on Bryant Street in Rahway, NJ where either he or his father lived between 1940-1955. I have been doing research on the history of the house. I found his name listed (or his father's) in the Polk's City Directory of Rahway NJ on ancestry.com.

I love knowing that such a sweet man and his family lived there before me!

Thank you,
Lara

Love my babies! These pics are amazing. But, for the record, Mommy has not had a manicure since my friend's wedding in May. And before that probably not since before the twins were born. :) Thanks for thinking so though.

Beautiful. I even wish I have twins too but I know it's not that easy since it would be chaotic, lol.

What an awesome set of pictures! I think my favorite is the yin/yang -- I wonder how often that sort of thing happens with twins.

I would love to know which household with an older sibling and twins is more chaotic. Somehow I think girls must bring a little more calm. Beautiful photos.

Julie, I just love your tree pictures. I greatly appreciated your comments in this post too. Thanks for being brave enough to bare your soul this way! It is sad about your beautiful tree - and perhaps now time to plant another one. A baby tree you can nurture in memory of the bigger one you've lost.

So so so sorry about your trees, Julie. Thanks for writing this post though -- you made me realize how important some of the trees have been in my life. They are special to me like the memories of first best friends and childhood dreams. Peace to you, my fellow tree-loving friend.
