Traditional self-medication and conventional treatments of sleep apnea

Self-help is different, some may apply to you and the others may not. These are reasonable treatments that can be combined with other medical treatments.

CPAP - Continuous positive airway pressure is a type of device that can control apnea or snoring in almost all patients, and this is the most successful prescribed treatment of sleep apnea. This device is an air compressor that can blow air through the grooved tube attached to the mask of patients placed over the nose. A mask is seized in place by an elastic band that surrounds the head. Then the air blows over the nose and down to the throat and prevents the throat from closing.
